Gary Vaughn Williams

Gary Vaughn Williams, 82, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Wesbury.

Gary was born in Meadville, on September 17, 1941, a son of the late Arthur V. and Marie E. (Lynn) Williams.

In 1962 Gary married Lois "Kay" Katherine McNutt; she survives.

He was of the Protestant faith.

After 33 1/2 years of service, Gary retired in 2005 from the Die Sink Department of Meadville Forging. He had previously been employed by the former Triangle Industries, now known as Greenleaf Corp., for over ten years. He was a 1960 graduate of Meadville High School. Along with his wife, Kay, Gary served as a co-leader of Coons Corner 4-H for over ten years. He was a 25 year member of the Grange, a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose, a social member of both Saegertown American Legion Post #205 and of Venango VFW Post #169. He enjoyed raising Hereford beef cattle and he had a passion for tractor pulling. He owned and conducted tractor pulls as part of the "Red Suspender Tractor Pulling" for more than ten years and has enjoyed the competitions for more than 22 years, having won numerous First Place Trophies.

In addition to his wife, Kay, of 61 years, Gary is survived by three daughters Irene Lenhart (Brian) of North Fort Myers, FL, Michele Wright (Vince) of MD, Deborah Luchansky (Ron) of Elon, NC; six grandchildren Amanda Wright (Fiance' Dane Blodgett), Kristen Porter, Brianne Lenhart, Lindsey Lenhart, Kyle Luchansky (companion Allison Kineston), Kaylee Luchansky; a sister Janet Leonard (Larry) of Casselberry, FL.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister Lois A. Williams

Family and friends are invited to call from 1- 3 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will follow at 3 PM, with Rev. Jeff Little, Pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Gary will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.
