Frederick "Fred" Allen Manville

Frederick "Fred" Allen Manville, 76, of 12726 Hwy. 18, Conneaut Lake, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.

Fred was born at home in Albion, on January 20, 1939, a son of the late Fred Louis and Irene (Smock) Manville.

On June 30, 1984 Fred married Cindy S. Rubner; she survives.

In 2000 Fred retired from Valonia Industries where he had been a truck driver for 12 years. He had previously owned and operated Manville Frenchtown Garage and in his earlier years worked as both a mechanic and truck driver for several automobile dealerships including Western Auto, Lou Davies Auto and Griffin Motors. A US veteran, Fred entered the Air Force on July 30, 1956 and served until his honorable discharge on November 29, 1957. He attended schools in Farrell. Fred was a member of Conneaut Lake Fire Hall #5 and a former social member of VFW Post #2006. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and restoring old cars, especially Chevy trucks.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, of 31 years, Fred is survived by his children Frederick A. Manville, Jr. and his wife Cindi of Meadville, Gary Manville of Espyville, Brad Manville and his wife MaryBeth of Apex, NC, Marcie Whitacre and her husband Mike of Winchester, VA, Missy Heim of Transfer, stepdaughter Misty Cleary and her husband Brandon of Monroeville and Jeff Gibson of California, eight grandchildren, a sister Connie Shoop and her husband Mike of Fairview, a brother Ron Manville and his wife Barb of Hermitage, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
