Evelyn Marie Jordan

Evelyn Marie Jordan, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2017 in Englewood, Fl. surrounded by her family.

Born May 12, 1930 in Meadville, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Grace (Shay) Theuret.

Evelyn shared her time in both Saegertown, and Englewood, Fl. She attended Saegertown High School and was later employed at American Viscose Corporation of Meadville. Evelyn was a long time member of the Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church of Saegertown.

Married to Chalmer "Chal" C. Jordan in 1951, she followed her husband to Huntsville, Al until they later returned home to Saegertown where they raised three daughters.

As a Saegertown High School board member, she was proud of her involvement in renovating the Saegertown High School. Later through the Jordan Foundation she helped determine projects to enhance and improve her community of Saegertown.

Preceded in death by her younger sister Donna (Paul) Kull of Meadville, she is survived by her youngest sister Sandy (Robert) Palmer.

She is sadly missed and leaves behind her three daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Kapusta of Meadville, Susan (Everett) Walker of Erie and Lynn "Sam" (Mark) Deichman of Englewood. Deeply loved by her grandchildren, Evelyn (Antony) Pacitti, Ann Kapusta and Adam LaVoy, Jordan Walker and Halle Walker.

Family and friends of Evelyn and Chal are invited to call on Sunday, August 26, from 2-4 at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, where Funeral Services for both Evelyn and Chal will be held at 4:00 PM with Rev. Mark Fischer, Pastor, officiating.

Evelyn and Chal will privately be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335 or a charity of the donor's choice.
