Evelyn Lena Light, 67, of 940 F. Street, Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 19th, 2012 at home.
Evelyn was born in Portsmouth, OH on October 23, 1944, a daughter of the late Jesse James and Millie (McClinton) Cline.
Over the years Evelyn had been a caretaker for Wesbury United Methodist Community and other care facilities. After raising her own family, she was responsible for raising other children. Additionally she loved animals and often adopted and cared for them as well. Even as her heath failed, she continued to reach out to help others. Evelyn will be remembered as a kind, caring and loving person.
Evelyn is survived by three children Carol Murnahan, Joyce Murnahan-Smith and her husband Michael both of Meadville, Everett Murnahan and his wife Dawn of Cochranton, two grandchildren Desiree, Kaitlin, one great grandchild Destany, her husband Ricky J. Light, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Following the service all family and friends are invited to attend a reception hosted by Tammy McClinton at Bootleggers Lounge, 356 Baldwin St., Meadville, for a time of sharing and fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.
