Ethel Ruth Bellamy Williams Hamilton

Ethel "Ruth" Bellamy-Williams Hamilton, 65, of 377 1/2 Willow St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Meadville Medical Center.

Ruth was born in Lakemont, FL on September 18, 1950, a daughter of the late Simon and Hannah (Bellamy) Hamilton Williams.

She was a member of St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, Meadville.

Over the years Ruth had been employed by J.C. Penny, the former Talon Inc., the former Ricci's Restaurant, the former Odd Fellows Home and the former Meadville Laundry. She was a graduate of Meadville High School. Ruth enjoyed music, doing word search puzzles, reading and cooking. She loved her family deeply and will be sadly missed.

Ruth is survived by five children Patricia A. Hamilton, Linda M. Hamilton, David Lee Hamilton, Debbie L. Hamilton, Michael E. Hamilton, all of Meadville, 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters Nancy Hamilton, Sue Mae Miller, both of Johnstown, three brothers Otis Hamilton, Jr., Timothy Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, all of Meadville, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by four sisters Mary Jane Edwards, Verlee Williams, Olivia "Libby" Hamilton, Kara Hamilton, a brother Simon Williams, Jr., a half brother James Williams and her step father Otis Hamilton.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 6, from 11- 1 at St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, where a Homecoming Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Bishop Stanley Smith Pastor, officiating.

Ruth will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
