Elizabeth "Betty" J. Thibaut

Elizabeth "Betty" J. Thibaut, 96, of Novi, MI, formerly of Meadville, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center.

Betty was born in Meadville, on February 4, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (George) Collins.

On September 10, 1951, Betty married Frederick G. Thibaut; he preceded her in death on October 1, 1990.

In 1986 Betty retired from the former Alltel of Meadville after 35 years of service. Betty was a member of St. Brigid Church and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed the game of golf and watching football.

Betty is survived by three nieces Caren Fifer (Tim), Mary Imhoff (Gary), Kelly Meisling, a nephew Jim Collins, two great nephews and four great nieces.

In addition to her husband Frederick of 39 years and her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother Jim Collins, Jim's wife Anita and a nephew Patrick Collins.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 5:30 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor, officiating.

Betty will be laid to rest with her husband, Frederick, St. Brigid Cemetery.
