Edwin F. North

Edwin F. North, 55, of 549 Lord Street, Meadville, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at home.

Edwin was born in Biloxi, MS on May 7, 1962, a son of Karen (Bausman) and the late Dean L. North.

On July 24, 1982 Edwin married Lynne A. Stallard; she survives.

Edwin graduated from Meadville High School in 1981. He went on to be a Tool and Die Maker for more than 30 years. For the past 21 years he worked for Canto Tool in Meadville. In 2008 Edwin earned his Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. Over the years he had been employed by the former Sugar Creek Station, the former Beverly Health Care and Rolling Fields. Edwin became very involved in the Cursillo Movement after attending a Cursillo Retreat. In the last few years Edwin discovered and pursued his passion for stained glass art. As a member of Arts for Everyone, Edwin's inherent love for helping others took the form of teaching. He would host sessions for others who were new to the art, all the while continuing to hone his skills. His works could be found at the Crawford County Fair where they earned several ribbons. He enjoyed camping and most of all cooking, which he did very well. Edwin was a hard working man who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed watching his son play hockey and following the events of his daughters. His grandchildren were very special to him. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife Lynne of 35 years, Edwin is survived by three children, Sarah Stevens and her husband David of Pittsburgh, Shannon Pavlick and her husband Steven of Dundee, OR, Scott North and his partner Jenna, currently residing inSingapore, two grandchildren Silas and Sierra Pavlick, his mother Karen North of Meadville, two sisters, Carrie Barnes and her husband Doug, and Wendy Hess and her husband Jim, both of Meadville, a brother Tracy North and his wife Candi of Meadville, seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean L. North.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 4, 2017, from 2-6 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, with Deacon Ken Reisenweber officiating. In keeping with the true spirit of Edwin, Hawaiian shirts and bright colored tops are welcomed.

As an expression of sympathy, monetary contributions are welcomed, and should be given to the funeral home to offset final expenses.
