Dorothy Lee Rogers

Dorothy Lee Rogers, 81, of 440 Arch St., Meadville, went to be with the lord, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, August 25, 2017, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville.
 
Dorothy was born in Lewisport, KY on February 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles Virgil and Hazel Lee Browning.
 
On April 10, 1993 Dorothy married James W. Rogers; he survives.
 
Over the years Dorothy had been employed as a waitress at various cafes and restaurants.

She was a graduate of Mt.Clemens High School. 

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, she shared her love of music with her grandchildren through singing and dancing. She also enjoyed playing games such as scrabble, cards and could always be found with a crossword puzzle in the works. She was loved by the many people whom lives that she touched, and her laugh could brighten anyone's day.
 
In addition to her husband, James, of 24 years, Dorothy is survived by six children,Colette Kalinowski and her husband Wayne of Cochranton, Renee Leimbach and her husband Larry of Cincinnati, OH, Yvonne Reed and her companion Ron Komar of Cochranton, Suzanne Simpson of Franklin, Jeffrey Williams and his fiancé Darla Lawrence of Conneaut Lake, Charles Williams and his wife Sue of Meadville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and many nephews.

Her family would like to thank the nurses aids and staff of Wesbury United Methodist Community for all the love and kindness that they showed for Dorothy.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister Linda M. Baade, and a great great grandson, Gabriel Owen Tierney.

Private services will be held.
