Dorothy L. Wenzel

Dorothy L. Wenzel, 100, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Dorothy was born in Meadville, on August 21, 1920, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Elsie (Gill) Wenzel.

She was of the Protestant faith. Following her high school graduation from Meadville, Dorothy graduated from Meadville Business College. After 40 years of service as office manager, Dorothy retired from Federal Insurance in Pittsburgh. Following retirement, she moved back to Meadville. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses.

Dorothy is survived by two sisters Marjorie "Marge" Wenzel, with whom she lived, Janice Boyland, both of Meadville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Scowden; brother James Wenzel; and half brother David Swaney.

A private service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where Dorothy will be laid to rest.

The family would like to thank the staff of Crawford County Care Center for the wonderful care given to Dorothy.
