Donald L. Gerard

Donald L. Gerard, 56, of 23180 Blystone Rd., Venango, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at AristaCare at Park Avenue, Meadville.

Don was born in Meadville, on January 17, 1961, a son of Shirley Ann (McPhearson) and the late Jack L. Gerard.

Don married Darlene L. Shaffer; she survives.

Over the years Don had been employed as Head Manager of KFC, by Perkins Restaurant and the former Good Pie Bakery of Saegertown. He could sometimes be found at Diamond Park where he and his daughter, Melissa, had a hot dog stand. He attended Saegertown Schools, and later Cambridge Springs High School. Don enjoyed four wheeling, traveling to North Fort Meyers, FL, attending the Daytona 500 with his son Steven, hunting with his son, Steven, his brothers and friends as well as fishing with his grandchildren; he loved them dearly. His greatest joy in life was time spent with family. He will be remembered as a jokester and we can still hear him say, "We love you Hooch". He will be sadly missed.
