Donald "Don" R. Dahl

Donald "Don" R. Dahl, 71, of 14702 Spring Creek Rd., Titusville, passed away Wednesday, April 25, at home as the result of a house fire.

Don was born in Meadville, on May 25, 1946, a son of the late Dana and Marian (Lake) Dahl, Sr.

Don had been employed by the former Loranger Industries of Warren, as an industrial electrician. He was a skilled electrician. A US veteran, Don entered the US Army on December 29, 1965 and served his country honorably until his discharge on December 16, 1967. During his service time he attained the rank of Sergeant and earned his GED. He attended Meadville schools. Don was a proud gun owner and enthusiast. He enjoyed shooting, cleaning, loading, taking apart and reassembling all types of fire arms. His other hobbies and interests included riding bikes, enjoying nature, enjoying wildlife, and expanding his knowledge of history. He was a handy man and could fix just about anything. Don will be remembered for his great sense of humor. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren.

Don is survived by a daughter Susan Dahl-Leva and her husband Tony of Lunenburg, MA, a son Donald Dahl, Jr. of Columbia, SC, two grandchildren Carson and Tyler Leva, two sisters Bev Vickers, Virginia Stallard both of Meadville, a brother Dana Dahl, Jr. and his wife Mona of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother Richard Dahl.

Graveside services with Military Honors, will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 11:00 AM, at Kiser Hill Cemetery, East Mead Township, where Don will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lilac Springs, 19112 Willow Way, Meadville, PA 16335.
