Dawn L. Harris

Dawn Louise Harris was called to rest and surrendered her spirit to her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 11, 2020, peacefully during the night at her home in Meadville, PA.

Dawn was born on September 22, 1967 in Erie, PA to Doris Louise Harris (Gorman) and Theodis “Jim” Harris.

Dawn was a long-time resident of both Meadville and Erie, PA. Dawn was raised in Erie, PA where she grew up with her parents and four siblings. She graduated from Academy High School and later worked at Giant Eagle Grocery and Splash Lagoon Water Park, all in Erie, PA.

Dawn enjoyed reading, playing games, WWE wresting shows, and most of all, Dawn loved her family to include the many nieces, nephews and cousins that she cared for. She was a devoted Christian, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Because of her love of children, she created a strong bond with many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she gladly nurtured with her natural care-giving gifts.

Dawn leaves to cherish her memories, her siblings Michael A. Gorman of Erie, PA, Theresa (Elijah) B. Boyd (Fisher) of Meadville, PA; Jeffery Fisher of Meadville, PA; and Cynthia (Troy) M. Clark (Fisher) of Manassas, VA; her aunts Kaye Gorman and Faye Edwards (Gorman) of Meadville, PA; her uncles Carl Gorman of Lakewood, WA and Ronald Gorman of Las Vegas, AZ; her first cousins, Larry Butts, Richard Butts, Vivian Butts, Carol Butts, Pat Simmons, Karla Edwards, Scott Gorman, Misty Gorman, Kiki Gorman, James Gorman, Tracey Gorman; her nieces and nephews, Katrice, Billie, K.C., Roshard, Darionna, Travoye, Dineja, Laila, Saavadra, Michael Jr., Ivine, Sandrell, Walter, Daja, Tameka, Timothy and a host of many more extended relatives and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Doris & Jim Harris; her maternal grandparents, Beatrice & Walter Gorman; her aunt Shirley Butts; her uncles Scott & Charles Gorman.

Dawn’s presence and memory has left an unforgettable mark on each and every one that has come into contact with her. All of her family and friends will miss her, dearly. May the memories of Dawn Louise Harris be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. May she forever "Rest in Peace."
