David Robert Wellmon

David Robert Wellmon, 59, of 3865 Wedgworth Rd. S., Fort Worth, TX, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Fort Worth, TX.

David was born in Meadville, on July 6, 1957, a son of Robert and Lois (Best) Wellmon.

On August 6, 1983 David married Brenda Jastromb; she survives.

David was employed as the sales manager of Chair King Backyard Store, Fort Worth, TX. A US veteran, David entered the Navy on June 28, 1976 and served his country until his honorable discharge on June 17, 1980. He was a graduate of Saegertown High School and the former Alliance College. From a very young age David enjoyed camping and fishing. He could often be found at the beaver dam behind his family home. His love for camping and fishing continued all through his adult life. He had a passion for photography. David enjoyed time spent playing with his dogs, Snowball and Hannah. He looked forward to vacationing on cruise ships with his wife, Brenda and their friends. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Brenda of 33 years, David is survived by his parents Robert "Bob" and Lois Wellmon, a sister Diane Gigone and her husband Rodney, two brothers Keith Wellmon and his wife Nancy, all of Meadville, Kevin Wellmon of Newport News, VA, his father in law Ted Jastromb, Sr., two brothers in law Ted Jastromb and his wife Linda, Brett Jastromb and his wife Karole, all of Meadville, two sisters in law Tracy Chason and her husband Paul of Conneautville, Tammy Smith and her husband Jeff of Glenshaw, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his mother in law Belva Jastromb.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville.

David will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
