David E. Bass

David Earl Bass, 74, fell asleep peacefully in death after a long illness, April 25, 2023.

David was born on January 6, 1949, in Meadville, PA. He was the oldest of four children.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Ethel Bass and his brother Joseph “Jodie” Bass Jr.

He is survived by his sister Cynthia Bass, his brother Timothy Bass (Janet Bass), his sister in-law Wilna Bass, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was the dear husband for 51 years of Aleda Ann Bass (Jenkins) and beloved father of two, Tia Lynn Bass and David Eddie Bass (Brooke Marie Bass). He was the grandfather of three, Justin Michael Bass, Lauren Elizabeth Bass, and Joshua David-Joseph Bass.

David is a baptized Witness of Jehovah, symbolizing his dedication by water baptism, November 12, 1994. He served as an elder in his congregation for 18 years. David loved his God Jehovah and strongly believed in the resurrection from the dead. He worked hard to share this hope with others, witnessing tirelessly until the end. He is currently in Jehovah’s memory and we cannot wait to see him again in paradise on Earth.

Services will be held May 6, 2023, 2:00 PM at the Meadville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s

Witnesses (15315 Harmonsburg Rd., Meadville, PA 16335). Daniel Nyitrai, his long time friend, will be officiating.
