Charlotte Christine Peters

Charlotte Christine Peters, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2024, after years of declining health. She was a resident of Townville and most recently of Embassy of Park Avenue of Meadville.

She was the daughter of Lowell “Bud” and Ruth (Malinee) Seiler of Meadville; step-daughter of Virigina (Ingraham) Seiler, all who proceeded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Daniel N. Peters of Townville and daughter Danette (Peters) Little and her husband, Brian of Meadville.

Christine was a 1963 graduate of Townville High School, where she was her class valedictorian. After graduation, she worked at Nationwide Insurance. At age 20 after the death of her mother, she left to help her father run the family business, Seiler Farm Equipment. When the business was closed after the death of her father, she then began to provide transportation for the Amish communities of Townville, Guys Mills, and Spartansburg.

She was a member of the Townville Baptist Church. She served in many areas of the church as Organist, Youth Leader, Choir Camp counselor, Sunday School teacher, Missions, Board of Christian Education, and Pastoral Relations Committee.

Christine was also active in the community as a volunteer at Townville Old Home Days, membership secretary of the Townville Ambulance, member of the Firemen’s Auxiliary and of the Townville Women’s Club.

She enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting, counted cross stitch, sewing, diamond dots, doing puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading. She was also a fierce competitor in playing card and board games. She enjoyed watching sports especially football and basketball. In fact, the day prior to her death, she had competed both men and women’s brackets for the NCAA tournament.

At Embassy, Charlotte was a member of Resident Council and was an advocate for the residents. She often was found taking a new resident under her wing and showing them how to adjust to resident living.

Everywhere she went, she was a light and touched the lives of the people around her with love and humor. She was always taking care of people, more often than herself. The legacy she leaves is one of love. While our world is darker now that she is gone, she would want us to continue that legacy – to love people and to make a difference in their lives.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Embassy of Park Avenue for their care and becoming like a second family to her.
