Charles "Dick" R. Huson

Charles "Dick" R. Huson, 76, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, June 20,, 2019, at Crawford County Care Center.

Dick was born in Meadville, on May 8, 1943, a son of the late Howard and Phoebe (Castile) Huson.

On August 24, Dick married Patricia Householder; she survives.

He was affiliated with Wayland Baptist Church, Meadville.

At the age of 65, Dick retired from Greenleaf Corporation after close to 40 years of service. A veteran, Dick entered the US Army on July 27, 1962 and served his country honorably until is discharge on August 3, 1965. He was a 1962 graduate of Saegertown High School and a member of Saegertown Sportsman Club. An avid outdoors man, Dick enjoyed shooting trap, hunting and fishing. Over the years he also enjoyed coaching as well as umpiring baseball games.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, of 55 years, Dick is survived by two sons Keith Huson, Scott Huson (Anna) both of Saegertown; six grandchildren; Cayenne Eastlick of Erie who was like a daughter; two brothers Ernest Huson (Dixon) of Andover, Robert Huson (Nancy) of Meadville; a sister Janette Miller of Saegertown; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a daughter Trisha Huson. a granddaughter Audreanna Albaugh and a brother Tom Huson.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday with Pastor Daniel Howell of Wayland Baptist Church officiating.

Dick will be laid to rest Saegertown Cemetery with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.
