Charles B. Haylett, 78, of 20539 Grange Center Rd., Saegertown, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family.

Charles was born in Utica, on April 7, 1936, a son of the late Charles T. and Alice M. (Ford) Haylett.

Charles married Jana Lesh; she survives.

In 1987 Charles retired from the Tool and Die Industry. He had been co-owner of Multi Tool and Multi Plastics of Saegertown and had worked in the trade for over thirty years. He was a 1954 graduate of Oil City High School. An avid outdoors man, Charles loved, and was very skilled at, hunting, fishing, trapping and cutting wood. His hobbies included wood working and cabinet making. He enjoyed Blue Grass music, watching old Western movies and he was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Charles loved his family deeply and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Jana, Charles is survived by a daughter Christine A. Roberts of Conneautville, three granddaughters Brittany Roberts of Linesville, Amanda Roberts of Saegertown, Emily Roberts of Townville, a great grandson Logan Roberts of Saegertown, a brother Dan Haylett of Albion, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three sisters Marilyn Whitman, Paulene Hoffman, Margaret Messina, 4 brothers Thomas E. Haylett, Raymond H. Haylett, George S. Haylett, Larry C. Haylett and a son in law Dawson Roberts, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 6-9 and also on Tuesday from 12-1 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown where Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darrell L. Greenawalt, Pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Charles will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.
