Cena May Ritteger

Cena May Ritteger, 86, of 785 Whittier Ave., Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Meadville Medical Center.

Cena was born at home in Meadville, on February 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Prentice V. and Cena (Wolf) Copeland.

On July 16, 1956 Cena married John "Jack" Ritteger; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2001.

She was an active member of New Beginnings Church of God where she attended Bible Study. She was previously a member of the former Free Methodist Church on State Street.

After more than 25 years of service, Cena retired from Wesbury United Methodist Community where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In her earlier years she was employed in the Spinning Department of the former American Viscose and the former Talon, Inc. A graduate of Saegertown High School, Cena was a member of Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

Cena is survived by four children John Ritteger and his wife Arlene of Guys Mills, Susan Ritteger of Conneautville, Jane A. Osborne of Meadville, Mark Ritteger of New Castle, ten grandchildren Joshua and Kori Ritteger, Cena, Amber and AJ Foister, Deveda Osborne, Mariah Malone, Robert, Samantha and Sabrina Ritteger, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers Prentice Copeland and his wife Marie of Saegertown, Ernest Copeland of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

Funeral Services will be held at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24th, with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating.

Cena will be laid to rest next to her husband in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
