Cathy L. O'Shea

Cathy L. O'Shea, 67, of 749 Chestnut St., Meadville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at home.

Cathy was born in Meadville, on February 16, 1950, a daughter of the late Wyllis C. and Ruth (Macon) Hoffman.

On August 23, 1975 Cathy married Robert "Bob" J. O'Shea; he survives.

She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville. Over the years, she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, as Leader of one of the Christ Care Small Groups, and had been a member of the Moderation Presbyterian Women.

After 33 years of service, Cathy retired from Crawford Central School District where she had been employed as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher. She enjoyed making crafts and reading.

In addition to her husband, Bob, of 41 years, Cathy is survived by two sons Miles O'Shea and his wife Casey, Colin O'Shea both of Meadville, a grandchild Macon R. O'Shea, two sisters Phyllis Parker and her husband Alan of Annapolis, MD, Valerie Vickers and her husband Daniel of Danville, WV, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Wyllis and Ruth Hoffman.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville, with Dr. Brian Jensen, Pastor, officiating.

Cathy will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
