Catherine "Cathy" Ann (Vickers) Hannold, 56, of 100 Stone Haven Dr., Apt. 6, Edinboro, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at home.

Cathy was born in Pittsburgh, on July 19, 1958, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Shamma) and Roy Vickers.

On April 29, 1978 Cathy married Charles Hannold; he survives.

She was of the Catholic faith.

A 1976 graduate of Saegertown High School, Cathy was a member of the chorus as well as the marching band as a drummer and guitarist. She went on to further her education by earning her Associates Degree in Nursing in 1990 from Gannon University of Erie and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Edinboro University. Additionally in 1999 she earned a Master's Degree in both Family Counseling and Clinical Psychology at the very same time. She is the only person in the history of Edinboro University to accomplish this. Cathy was employed by Meadville Medical Center as an RN in ICU, at Northwest Family Services as a therapist for both sex offenders and victims, and at NHS Human Resources Creekside as a Supervisor of autistic children. Cathy enjoyed singing at weddings, crocheting, baking and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Charles, Cathy is survived by two sons Adam Hannold and his fiancé Nicole Munson of Edinboro, Aaren Hannold of Saegertown, a daughter Amber Hannold of Edinboro, two sisters Millie Klecker of Meadville, Gina Percy of South Carolina, three brothers Roy Vickers of Conneautville, Anthony Vickers of Meadville, Daniel Vickers of Washington, DC, many nieces and nephews. Cathy also leaves behind her best friend, Shirl Giggler of Cochranton.

In addition to her mother, Liz, Cathy was preceded in death by a son, Andrew, who died at birth on August 29, 1987, her paternal grandparents Roy and Annamargaret Vickers.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown.
