Carol Ann Mcmunn

Carol Ann McMunn, 75, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at home.

Carol was born in Meadville, on June 20, 1947, a daughter of the late Berton and Mary (Childs) Hunt.

Carol was a graduate of Cochranton High School. She always possessed a strong work ethic and always loved living a simple life. Over the years she had been employed as a factory worker and by the former K-Mart. Her favorite job was raising her family and being a homemaker. She was fiercely independent, doing what she wanted, when she wanted. Carol was not afraid to make sacrifices so that her children would have a happier, better life. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her; she loved them more than anything. She could not have been more proud of them and their accomplishments. Carol loved Christmas because it meant that Michael would be coming home and all the family could gather at Patty's house where she'd be together with her children and grandchildren. She would likely be wearing something with "Georgia" on it that Michael had given her. Time with family was her greatest joy. She will be sadly missed.

Carol is survived by two children Michael McMunn (significant other Amber Cryer) of Macon, GA, Patricia Maziarz (Mitchell III) of Meadville; four grandchildren Abby McMunn, Alex McMunn, Alyssa Maziarz, Mitchell Maziarz IV; a sister Shirley Craig (Joe) of FL; her former husband David McMunn whom she married June 10, 1967.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Hunt.

Private services will be held.

Carol will be laid to rest in Riceville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
