Mrs. Carmella "Melluch" S. Luchansky, 89, formerly of 20002 Meadowland Drive, Meadville, and formerly of Saegertown, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, where she had been a resident for the past year and a half.

Carmella was born in Meadville, on August 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Anthony "Tony" and Mary (Galle) Tartaglione.

On Oct. 18, 1948 she married Joseph P. Luchansky; he preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1997.

During the 1970s Carmella was employed by Crawford Central School District where she had worked in the Junior High School Cafeteria. In her earlier years she had been employed by the former Talon, Inc. and Avtex Fiber Corp. She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and making crafts. Her greatest enjoyment in life was being with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children Joseph P. Luchansky, Jr. and his wife Pat of Clearwater, FL, Ron Luchansky and his wife Daisy of Meadville, Janice Morris of Saegertown and Annette Powers and her husband Barry of Meadville, ten grandchildren Stacey Pryce and her husband Blaine, Shelley Ebinger and her husband Joe, Joseph P. Luchansky III and his wife Colleen, Ronald Luchansky Jr. and his wife Debbie, Chris Luchansky and his wife Suzette, Brian Wenzel, Brad Wenzel, Emily Morris, Scott Powers, Megan Powers, ten great grandchildren Kyle Luchansky, Kaylee Luchansky, Chloe Luchansky, Emily Pryce, Ethan Pryce, Elliott Pryce, Elijah Pryce, Isabelle Ebinger, twins Audrey and Abaigail Luchansky, five sisters Anne Daddio of Belleair Bluffs, FL, Cathryn Morris of Greencastle, Josephine Morris of Meadville, Betsy Boccio, Toni Lee Kruszewski and her husband Kenneth both of Erie, a brother James Tartaglione and his wife Debbie of Meadville, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Joe, of 48 years, Carmella was preceded in death by three sisters Virginia "Gi Gi" Kruszewski, Philamena Roberts and Ethel Boccio.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Monday, May 15, 2017 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 8:30 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Philip Oriole, officiating.

Carmella will be laid to rest next to her husband, Joe, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
