Brenda Joyce Neely

Brenda Joyce (Nicholson) Neely age 65 of Meadville went to be an angel on May 14, 2017. She courageously fought her failing health for several years.

Born on July 6, 1951 in Morgantown, W.VA to the late Beatrice Byham and Ernest Nicholson.

She married George Neely on August 4, 1976; he survives.

She went to Meadville Area Senior High School.

She is survived by her husband George of 49 years, her daughter Carolyn (Neely) Sciallo and her husband Joseph of Meadville, her son Robert Neely and his wife Tiffany of Waterford, 4 grandchildren; Justin Sciallo and his wife Michelle of Townville, Joshua Sciallo and his wife Kathryn of Meadville, Jonathan Sciallo of Meadville and Briana Neely of Waterford; 4 great grandchildren, Mason Sciallo, Jordan Sciallo, Gianna Sciallo and Jaxen Sciallo; 2 sisters Barbara Nicholson and Carolyn Hoopengardner both of West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Allen Nicholson and William Nicholson both of West Virginia; her grandmother Hazel Allhiser, her beloved dog Angel and her sister in law Joyce Collins.

Brenda’s work included: Texas Lunch, Arts Restaurant, The Pizza Parlor, Sues Restaurant, Pub on the Square and The Safari Bar. She was a long time waitress and enjoyed interacting with the public. She was a member of the Italian Civic Club and VFW.

She loved her family more than anything and cherished them. She was a gentle and loving soul with a generous heart. She enjoyed dancing, listening and singing to music, spending time with her family and collecting angels. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her time on this earth was too short and she will be sadly missed each and every day.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
