Bernice B. Walton

Bernice B. Walton, 92, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, passed away Thursday, February 4th, 2010 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Bernice was born in Erie County on January 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Leslie Boyd and Edith (Cole) Boyd.
She attended Meadville Alliance Church.
Bernice retired from the former Talon, Inc where she had been employed in the cafeteria after 37 years of service. In her earlier years she attended Meadville Schools. Her hobbies included quilting, but she mainly enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Bernice is survived by two sons William C. Walton and his wife Gail and Rev. Jerry D. Walton and his wife Carol both of Meadville, nine grandchildren Gwendolyn Hannold, James Walton, Jennifer Such, Jill Johnson, Joshua Walton, Joy Shaffer, Jacob Walton, Joseph Walton and Johannah Walton, 12 great grandchildren in addition to twin girls to be born in March, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by a brother Charles Boyd.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where Funeral Services will be conducted at 4 PM with her son, Rev. Jerry Walton, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Meadville, officiating.
Interment will take place in Wayland Cemetery.
