Benjamin E. Wimer, 78, of  Meadville, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at home.
 
Benjamin was born in Conneaut, OH, on October 17, 1941, a son of the late Benjamin and Nellie (Lane) Wimer.
 
On October 17, 1987 Benjamin married Anna Mae Riley; she survives.
 
Benjamin served his country honorably  from 1960 until his discharge on April 14, 1964 from the US Navy, He was a route truck driver for 25 years, first in Boston, MA and later in Conneaut, OH.  He went on to serve as Superintendent with his wife Anna Mae for Cedar Centers Apartment, Cleveland, Ohio for 20 years.  Benjamin's hobbies included setting up and attending flea markets with his wife for 30 years. His favorite pastime was combing the beach of Conneaut, Ohio, for blue glass with his wife and brother Roy. He was a faithful follower of Shepherd Chapel, watching daily at 5:30 AM. In his earlier years he attended Rowe School, Conneaut, Ohio.
 
In addition to his wife Anna Mae of 32 years, Benjamin is survived two stepsons Kevin Wright (Sue) of Guys Mills, Tony Wright (Tina) of Cambridge Springs, son-in-law Joe Sparks of Norwood, Mass., five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great grandson, one great granddaughter, one step great grandson, one step great granddaughter, three sisters Marjorie St. John of Meadville, Rosamae Stiles of Erie, Cindy Vacco of Girard, a brother Roy Wimer of Conneaut, Ohio, many nieces and nephews.
 
Benjamin was preceded in death by three daughters Cindy Harfst, Doreen Sparks, Darlene Sparks, a step grandchild Bryant Ross, five sisters Mary Jane Leonard, Florence Curtis, Edna Bongiorno, Della Meyers, and Pearl Wood.
 
Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at a future date which will be announced.
 
Benjamin will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or a church of choice.
