Benedito 'Benny'' J. Petruso

Benedito 'Benny' J. Petruso, 84, of 10664 Eastview Ave., Meadville, passed away Tuesday, October 30th, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.
Benny was born in Meadville on July 24, 1928, a son of the late Custode and Concetta (Salvia) Petruso.
On July 30, 1949, at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Benny married Angelina C. Petruolo; she survives.
In December, 2008, Benny retired from the BJ Petruso Agency after nearly 50 years of service in the insurance industry. Beginning his career in 1959 on Market Street in Meadville, Benny was joined by his son, Dan, in 1972. For many years Benny also enjoyed owning and maintaining several rental properties. He attended Meadville High School and was a member of the Italian Civic Club (ICC).
In addition to his wife, Angelina of 63 years, Benny is survived by four children Daniel B. Petruso and his wife Kimberly, Nancy Bahurinsky and her husband Dennis, Angela M. (Ostroff) Petruso all of Meadville, James J. Petruso and his wife Kelly of Spring Valley, OH, nine grandchildren Michelle K. Simonette, Andrea L. Petruso, Megan D. Petruso, Michael B. Bahurinsky, Amy L. Bahurinsky, Adrienne C. Ostroff, Ethan H. Ostroff, Jennifer A. Petruso, Matthew J. Petruso, three great grandchildren Nicholas D. Simonette, Alex J. Simonette, Ashley M. Simonette, a sister Madelaine Damico of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by three brothers Sam Petruso, Santo Petruso, Nick Petruso and a sister Josephine 'Jo' Nardi.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
Entombment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
