Anne "Annie" M. Simpson

Anne "Annie" Margaret Simpson, 50, of Ridgway, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at home.

Annie was born in Meadville, on February 4, 1970, a daughter of Margaret "Peggy" (Porfilio) and the late James W. Simpson.

Annie was a 1989 graduate of Meadville High School. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Annie had the innate ability of making people feel good which in turn, made her feel good. She will be most remembered for her warm energy and she will be missed.

In addition to her mom and step dad Peggy and Pat McHale of Meadville, Annie is survived by three children Chuck McQuone Jr. of Pittsburgh, Johnny Brubaker of Spartansburg, Allison "Ali" McQuone of Meadville; four sisters Kathy Rugala Faller of Conneaut Lake, Gina Rugala Lowrie of Highland Heights, OH, Tina Rugala Knapp of Meadville, Dyanna Simpson Holeva of Meadville; her niece Lindsey Herman Mischler; her nephews Benjamin and Vincent Knapp; her godmother Stephanie Grinnell; several aunts uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to her father, Annie was preceded in death by a brother David V. Rugala.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 10-11 AM at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM, with Fr. Andrew Boyd, Parochial Vicaar, officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Annie will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
