Angelina "Angie" C. Petruso

Angelina "Angie" C. Petruso, 86, of 10664 Eastview Ave., Meadville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at home with her loving family at her side.

Angie was born in Meadville, on August 7, 1931, a daughter of the late Dominic and Theresa (Palmiero) Petruolo.

On July 30, 1949, Angie married Benedito "Benny" J. Petruso; he preceded her in death on October 30, 2012.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Over the years Angie worked along side her husband, Benny, at BJ Petruso Insurance Agency, which opened in 1959. She was also an Avon Representative and for many years worked as a crossing guard on the corners of South Main and Linden Streets and later at the corners of Randolph and North Main Streets. Angie took pleasure in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed quilting with her daughter, Nancy. She will be missed.

Angie is survived by four children Daniel B. Petruso and his wife Kimberley, Nancy Bahurinsky and her husband Dennis, both of Meadville, Angela M. Kebert and her husband Rich of Mercer, James J. Petruso and his wife Kelly of Spring Valley, OH, 11 grandchildren Michelle K. Simonette, Andrea L. Petruso, Megan D. Hillman, Michael B. Bahurinsky, Amy L. Bahurinsky, Adrienne C. Ostroff, Ethan H. Ostroff, Jennifer A. Petruso, Matthew J. Petruso, Aaron Sorrell, Jessica Sorrell, three great grandchildren Nicholas D. Simonette, Alex J. Simonette, Ashley M. Simonette, a sister Elizabeth Froncillo of Meadville, a brother Anthony Petruolo, and his wife Anna of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Benny, of 63 years, Angie was preceded in death by a sister Mary Bartholomew and a brother Burton Petruolo.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 on Friday, March 2, 2018, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Benjamin Travis, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.

Angie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Benny, in St. Brigid Cemetery.
