Albert J. Cronin, III, 80, of 17872 Cussewago Rd., Meadville, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.

Albert was born in Meadville, on May 17, 1935, a son of the late Albert J. and Agnes M. (Wood) Cronin, Jr.

On November 28, 1957, Albert married Christine Higham; she survives.

He was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

At the young age of ten, Albert began working along side his father at Cronin Builders. He continued his life's work for the next seventy years, until the time of his illness in April. His only time separated from his work was while he was serving his country. Albert entered the US Marine Corps on October 12, 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharged on October 11, 1955. Albert enjoyed being among his friends. Having lived a full life, he will be remembered most for his unparalleled dedication and love for his wife, each one of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Christine of 57 years, Albert is survived by ten children Catherine Del Greco and her husband Marc of Conneaut Lake, Julie Crytzer and her husband Rob, Albert Cronin, IV and his wife Pam, both of Meadville, Bonnie Thorpe and her husband Mark of Lakewood, NY, Todd Cronin and his wife Cindy of Fairview, Amy Hartleb and her husband Joseph of Erie, Tad Cronin and his wife Heidi of Jamestown, NY, Stephen Cronin and his wife Tracy of Meadville, Jonathan Cronin and his companion Glacie of Hamilton, OH, Robert Cronin and his wife Katie of Concord, NC, twenty-four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers John E. Cronin and his wife Sally of Saegertown, David E. Cronin of Meadville, many much loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents Albert and Agnes Cronin, Albert was preceded in death by a granddaughter Abbey Cronin and a sister-in-law Margaret Cronin.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 3-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2015, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor, officiating.

Private graveside services will be held at Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp., with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Albert's memory to Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.
