Martha Marie Johnston

Martha Marie Johnston, 69, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Martha was born in Meadville, on April 18, 1948, a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa M. (Froncillo) Orlando.

On June 30, 1973 Martha married Gary L. Johnston: he survives.

Martha was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and of the Blue Army. In her earlier years she was employed as a clerk by the former GC Muurphy Co. She was a 1967 graduate of Meadville High School. Her hobbies included bowling, crocheting, fishing, cooking and watching sports, especially football and NASCAR.

In addition to her husband Gary of 44 years, Martha is survived by a son Troy E. Johnston of Meadville, a sister Ellen Svesko and her husband Ed of Florida and two nieces.

Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 2-4 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 3:45 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, at 10:00 on Thursday, with Fr. Tom Trocchio, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Martha will be laid to rest in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
