Linda G. Denison

Linda G. Denison, 69, of 16422 Townhouse Road, Saegertown, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.

Linda was born at home in Conneaut Lake, on April 2, 1948, a daughter of the late James J. and Anna (Ryan) Garland.

On August 7, 1971 Linda married Dale G. Denison; he preceded her in death on February 6, 2016.

She was an active member of Saegertown Community Church.

A 1966 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School, Linda furthered her education by graduating from Dyke Business College in 1968. In 1972 she became employed by the former Barco and Barco Law Firm and later by National Tel-Tronics and Wesbury United Methodist Community. After taking a few years off to raise her daughter, Linda became employed in the office of Judge Lincoln Zilhaver until her retirement in 2002. Linda was a former member of the Golden Crown Chapter of the Eastern Star. Alongside her husband, she was very active in the Pro-Life Movement and remained so. For many years Linda enjoyed sharing her talents and labors of love as a wedding decorator and coordinator for family and friends. An avid reader, she especially enjoyed Danielle Steel novels and she enjoyed watching "Days of Our Lives". Linda delighted in looking after her grandchildren and considered that to be the best part about being retired. They were a very important part of her life. Linda will be remembered as a very loving and caring person. She will be deeply missed.

Linda is survived by a daughter Julie A. Denison of Meadville, two grandchildren Lindsey and Devin Sekerski of Meadville, a sister Beatrice G. Stiles of Fort Myers, FL, two brothers Thomas Garland and his wife Betty of Leavenworth, KS, Kenneth Garland, Sr. of Conneaut Lake, many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Dale, of 44 years, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers James J. Garland, Albert Garland and a sister Bernice Cutshall.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, at 10:00 AM.

Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband, Dale, in Southside Cemetery, Sadsbury Twp.
